Oregon Food Bank

Oregon Food Bank is a nonprofit, charitable organization that works holistically to help low-income families alleviate hunger and its root causes. It distributes food from a variety of sources through a statewide network that includes its four branches (in Beaverton, Ontario, Portland and Tillamook), 16 independent regional food banks and 947 partner agencies. Oregon Food Bank also addresses the root causes of hunger through advocacy, education and building community food networks.

Our mission: To eliminate hunger and its root causes ... because no one should be hungry.

We're effective and efficient. More than 94 cents of every dollar donated to Oregon Food Bank goes directly to fighting hunger.

We're fair and equitable. Oregon Food Bank distributes food donations throughout the state based on an allocation system that takes each area's population and poverty statistics into account.

We're innovative. OFB's Fresh Alliance program provides nutritious, perishable food, like meat, milk and dairy, to people who are hungry statewide. Since its inception, the program has kept 16-million pounds of food from being wasted and has become a national model.

We're proud to be a member of the community. We couldn't do the work we do without tremendous support, from donors, to volunteers, to corporate partners. Thank you!

We're part of a national network. Oregon Food Bank is a member of Feeding America's national food bank network.
